| Description: |
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Town of Cochrane (the “Town”) to submit non-binding proposals to provide an environmental study of the Jim Uffelmann Park in Cochrane, Alberta based on the park’s current uses and design. The “Service” includes studying the current environmental condition of the Jim Uffelmann Park based on the park’s current uses and design. The Service includes the creation of a detailed report and concise presentation based on the study findings of the current environmental condition of the Jim Ufflemann Park and environmental impacts of current uses. The report and presentation will include the identification of environmentally sensitive areas, potential site improvements, and recommendations for appropriate future uses (as described in Appendix A – Scope of Work) with consideration of the environmental context and community and stakeholder input. The Town of Cochrane is looking to conduct an environmental study of the Jim Uffelmann Park, which will be used to inform future decisions on the design and uses of the park. The environmental study will assess the current state of the Jim Uffelmann Park based on current uses, and it will identify environmentally sensitive areas that require greater consideration in any future design or usage changes, along with recommendations for required remediation and mitigation based on industry best practice. The full Scope of Work can be found in Appendix A – Scope of Work. The Successful Proponent will conduct an environmental study of the Jim Ufflemann Park and provide the Town with a detailed report and concise presentation outlining current status and recommendations that are to be presented at a future Town Council Meeting. |
